1) Each game will be 10 min regardless of the score
2) Each team will play 2 consecutive games before resting one
3) Please remember to bring 3 shirts: white, red/orange, blue/black

– Please sign up for the waiting list if you did not sign up in time to make the cap.
– You have to leave your mobile phone number on your sign up in order for our organizers to contact you when there is a dropout. No number in the post= no waiting list
– On game day. When you drop out you have to SMS/text the organizer on the above mentioned number. No text = no drop out, which will result in paying the game fee +penalty. drop out on the website is not accepted.

Apart from football abilities, Memet founded MC Movie Crew, with our other Hall of Fame member Chris Chambers. Last year Memet has made a progress in his career and relocated to Shenzhen, unfortunately it means that he has not been active for the last few month. He is back for a visit this weekend and we are all looking forward to see him at the pitch again!

Arturo is one of the first members of the “contemporary” CFN and has been the main organizer of our Saturday games for many months. Recently, he has decided to take play more competitively by playing with HamsapFC on Saturdays. Therefore, he will not be able to organize/play our Saturday games anymore.

Given his contribution to the CFN community, we would like to honor him by granting him a spot in our Hall of Fame.

Mark M
Mark joined CFN before the official it was officially founded. Just like other old members, it started with weekly games in Tung Chung. For more than 2 years, he has been an active member in the community on-pitch and I remember one of the nights out in Wanchai…you can email me for the details.
Old captain and organizer of HamsapFC, Mark worked closely with CFN in making many friendly games possible the past. As organizer, just like me, Mark often give the black market of pitch booking financial injections. His contribution to both the CFN and Hamsap community has been great and therefore he deserves to be our member of the Month!

Kim L
Kim has been with the community for a long time as well. The earliest record that we have is dated in the first quarter of 2009. Previously, a Tung Chung resident, she too started playing with us in Tung Chung. As our only female regular, Kim has stood her ground for more than 2 years and is one of our most loyal players. She will always play when she is in Hong Kong.
She also contributed to the community by giving us leads to play indoor with the Cathay Pacific staff and joining a one-time training session at HKFC. For her dedication, she deserves to be our Member of the Month. Apart from becoming MotM, Kim joined Jabbar in holy matrimony recently. CFN wish them both a great future together! Henry Wong, Henry “The kid” Wong started with Hamsapfc late 2008. During that time, he was a Tung chung regular and played most of their league game. As many Casual players from Hamsap, he has found it’s way to CFN during the early stage.
Henry will play one game a day if he is in Hong Kong, he is one of the players that CFN can count on when there is a need for players. Unfortunately, I can’t write much about the personal side of Henry. All I can write is that he is a football fanatic, always behaves well on the pitch and respect other players.

The new Members of the Month for March are:

– Mike Ying

Almost 3 years ago(May 2008), Filippo’s online alter-ego Filigio replied on an expat forum that he was available to play on Sunday afternoon. At Tung Chung MTR exit is where I first met Filippo. Together with Matt and Robin we got lost and ended up at a concrete pitch next to the Tung Chung fire station. 30 minutes late, we finally arrived at the pitch and played the first game of a group, what later would be called HamsapFC. Back then we had a game once every 2-3 weeks, what later changed into weekly games. For almost 3 years, Fillipo has always supported the games and played almost every Sunday in 2009-mid 2010. We hope his schedule clears up a bit on Sundays again and he will return every week to the pitch with us!

Well, what can we say about Mike. I know Mike from the time of Hamsap FC’s early days. He played in Hamsap FC’s First game, First democratically voted Hamsap FC captain, First guy to start a HamsapFC facebook group, First guy to get banned from Hamsapfc.com. A lot of “Firsts”, you could say he is a pioneer. Mike always give it his all during the games, physically and especially verbally. You hate him or you love him, it seems there is nothing in between.

Personally, I can describe him as a great guy and great to have in the group. But when I lack in sleep, I can snap at him after he has said 2 sentences. After a period in The States, he returned and played with us again. Since a few months he is one of the most active members of CFN. Given his track record as a pioneer during the early days and his commitment in present day, he too deserves to be Member of the Month.

As we will not have any games in the last 2 weeks of December and the first few weeks of January. The new Members of the Month are for November and December.

It seems like yesterday, but in reality both players joined us more than 2 years ago.
I remember Lucian and his wife watching us play in Tung Chung one time on the stands and all of a sudden during the next game, he was on the pitch playing with us and never left. When in Hong Kong he plays all the Tung Chung games and has introduced several of his friends to play with us as well, MikeC and JMC. As our only South-african player, he is representing his country in CFN and he has done a great job to date.
I don’t quite remember when James played for the first time. I remember I first met him during a HamsapFC league game in Kowloon Tsai Park. He was walking alongside Mongkok-John. They shared a cab from Tung Chung to Kowloon Tsai. This was back in the 3rd quarter of 2008. For the past two years he has been a dependable player and a solid defender for both Hamsap as CFN.
As MOTM November/December, they will get priority sign up and play our weekend games (Saturday and Sunday) for free.

Well kind of. Calling these two guys regulars would be an understatement.
These two guys and Joe Leddy and Ardison Garcia were there on our first Saturday game when we had 6 players showing up. All four of them contributed a lot during the early stages of CFN. They were the stars of CFN Saturdays

Unfortunately, Joe and Ardison both left Hong Kong before they would be selected to become MOTM. But, luckily Toan and Jeff are in Hong Kong and still play with us at least once a week. Jeff recently started University, but still plans a few hours per week to play with us. As for Toan, when we first met, he planned to leave HK this month. I am glad that he extended his stay in Hong Kong, otherwise CFN wouldn’t have had the chance to honor him with this title.
