– You have to leave your mobile phone number on your sign up in order for our organizers to contact you when there is a dropout. No number in the post= no waiting list
– On game day. When you drop out you have to SMS/text the organizer on the above mentioned number. No text = no drop out, which will result in paying the game fee +penalty. drop out on the website is not accepted

I understand what you mean, “I snooze I loose”.
The fact is that they are many guys want to play and there is no space for all so every time some will be left out(I forfeit few times when I was on SB and then got the message that only 14 out of 16 showed up and I live 5 in from the pitch – that sucks!)
I can’t travel to Central or happy valley for football at this stage so I’m stuck in TC only. The only solutions I can see is either we go for another game in TC during weekdays, increase cap to 18 (which I think is to crowded) or give priority to SB guys from the previous game (which will need much more administration from organizer)
Other good ideas are welcome… but after you break you head for long time and suddenly see 13 guys of 16 in the pitch and another one joins like 20 min later and we need to ask spectators if they want to join us so we wont play 7:6 you say to yourself dam after all this arguing we still short of people? What the hell?

The rule is that you can sign up yourself and 1 guest/friend(member or not). You should sign up on Monday morning if you want to secure your space. We will not spend more time administrating the games. Standby remains 16. You sign up, you show up. Follow the rules as they are. No shows will be penalized. I will check with organizers about the no-shows more often and ban them if necessary.

Agree with Rich, equal chance for all to play. we are all busy and all want to play, Let follow the rules, only sign up for One + 1 .

Didn’t mean to cause an arguement here. I played every Sunday for a solid 6 or 7 months, then I got injured. I’m ready to play again, but 3 weeks in a row I try to sign up on a Monday & already on the wait list. Just a bit frustrated.
Any chance of adding a Saturday game in TC?

Guys, if i can get a group of organizers to open games on Saturday in TC, or add an extra game on Sunday, we will definitely consider it. I’ll make a post to get some feedback to see whether we will have a sufficient number of people to create 2 games on Sunday or 1 on Sunday and 1 on Sat.
